iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes cleaning wipes is a product that’s often overlooked so its importance in keeping your gear clean is often unheard of. We are so used to simply wiping off stains or brushing off dust, so well-conceived solutions are often overlooked. They are also perceived as added costs, but thankfully, the iCloth cleaner wipes are an affordable and practical addition to your tool kit.
iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes – Tale of the Tape
the iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes come in different sizes and varieties, so be sure to pick what’s best for you. It basically comes in either Isopropyl Alcohol-based or 75% purified water-based variants which are designed for specific devices. Alcohol will damage monitors with matte coatings, so it’s best to double-check which variant you are buying.
The wipes are made out of aerospace-approved fabric and are pre-moistened with either 70% alcohol or the brand’s 75% purified water formula. Each sheet is individually wrapped, so you should be able to store them properly or bring some with you while traveling.
However, we think it’s great that iCloth already labeled each variant according to its intended purpose. We received a Large Lens and Screen Cleaner pack and a box of XL extra-strength (alcohol-based) wipes. What’s great about these products is they aren’t expensive and they come in small quantities to hundreds in a box so you can always fit them in your budget.
iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes Performance
each iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner wipe or sheet is individually wrapped in easy to open foil packets which protects them from drying out. We tested the water-based 10cm x 10cm variant on our office monitors and they are quite effective at removing unseen stains and dust from the screen. We only used up one sheet for two large (34-inch and 43-inch) monitors, so they are economical and effective.
The extra-strength-alcohol variants on the other hand work best for general disinfecting or for devices and gadgets with glass screens. They can also safely clean plastic panels and other hard surfaces, but do not use this type on your monitor or TV since it will damage the AG coating. Glasses are also listed in the iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes’s coverage, but we recommend the water-based option for coated sunglasses to avoid damaging them.
You can get away with the small sheets for mobile phones and eye-glasses, so the XL variant we received should be good for an entire household’s worth of gadgets. Another use for the small sheets is cleaning tight corners on your devices like in between the keyboard keycaps or the air vents of monitors and cases. You can get away with getting a box each for small and large wipes, but the XL sheets will work best for TVs or large surfaces like tables and chairs.
Is the iCloth Pro Grade Cleaner Wipes Worth It?
Keeping your expensive gear spick and span is a wise choice since they can be considered investments. Gaming-grade gear does not come cheap, so maintaining their new and clean look will help with their longevity. The alcohol-based variants are also nice to have right now since we are under a pandemic, so being extra careful isn’t unwise.
