LG recently introduced the LG 45GR95QE at IFA 2022 in Berlin, and we think it is going to be a stunner. It has a very unique 45-inch curved OLED panel with a QHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a natural 0.1ms response time. We already have QD-OLEDs like the Alienware AW3423DW, but this new model takes it up a notch.
LG 45GR95QE – Tale of the Tape
The LG 45GR95QE looks like it will offer a crazy resolution like the brand’s 40WP95C-W, but it’s a 3440 x 1440 monitor. It’s a larger 21:9 ultrawide, but its pixel density as a result will drop. However, the wider diagonal size means that it will be more immersive, especially since it probably has an infinite contrast ratio and wide gamut coverage.
LG also lists impressive imaging specifications, such as its 98.5% DCI-P3 contrast that will go with its 1000000:1 contrast ratio. However, its HDR certification level was not yet divulged, but it is safe to assume that it will slot into the top levels. It could be because its maximum brightness isn’t final yet, but we all know OLEDs have lower peak outputs than WLED-equipped alternatives.
It’s the first 45-inch ultrawide we’ve seen, but another unique feature is it’s the only one so far with an 800R curvature. LG is at the forefront of producing bendable OLED panels, so this isn’t surprising at all coming from them. There are other curved OLED panels coming out in the near future, but we’ll share more about those later.
The monitor’s connectivity layout includes DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 slots, but USB-C was not mentioned in the press release. You will also get three USB 3.0 ports and an audio jack with DTS Headphone: X technology. Its stand has height, swivel, and tilt adjustments, plus it has RGB lighting with the new UltraGear aesthetic similar to what the LG 32GQ950-B has.

It’s safe to speculate that it will not be cheap, but it can arrive in time for the holidays or by the first half of next year.
