ASUS is gearing up to launch the fastest refresh rate monitor to date: the ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q.
Until recently the throne was held by the Acer Predator Z301C and the Z35 with 200Hz refresh rates. On ASUS’ own lineup, the fastest gaming monitor is the ASUS ROG PG248Q which also runs at an astounding 180Hz. Most PC gamers are normally ecstatic to get 60fps on their displays, but in this case, more is definitely better.
The ASUS’ ROG Swift website spills the specs of this speed behemoth at 240Hz with a 1ms GTG response rate, perfect for eSports as well as serious gaming. The display also features Nvidia’s G-Sync technology which eliminates lag and frame rate stutter for stunningly fluid visuals.
The all new Asus ROG Swift PG258Q has a 24.5-inch display panel with a resolution of 1920×1080. As with the “PG” lineup, its design has a twisted tri-poke stand was well as ROG lighting within the “Armor Titanium” and “Plasma Copper” color scheme. The size at 24” is perfect for portability compared to larger 27” – 34” models and can be placed in a multi-display setup which is good for racing simulation which effectively gives the user 74” of desktop real estate placing three monitors alongside each other.
ASUS says that the monitor will be available early 2017.
