Best Bluetooth Gaming Monitor
Every month, something new and interesting comes on the market and blows our mind away. But in the midst of these small technological upgrades, every once in a while comes something that changes the game. Let’s talk about the killer Bluetooth gaming monitor for the people who have never heard the name EIZO.
The monitor above is EZIO’s FORIS FS2735. It has a lot of features that I think you are going to like. So that be more, let us check this out.
Now we all I know that usually monitors are not the newest exciting technology in the world. But let us just face it, if you want to game, you want to have a really good monitor. Now EIZO is pretty new to the game, but they have a lot of different models to choose from. The one that we are checking out today is the FORIS FS2735. Now 2735 features a 27-inch backlit LED IPS panel, and it is almost bezel-less. You guys can see that the bezel on the front is very, very small. The native resolution of the FORIS FS2735 is 2560 x 1440, and it features 16:9 aspect ratio, which is widescreen, which is great for gaming and watching a lot of movies. For those folks who care about all the details. The pixel pitch on this one is 0.233 x 0.233 millimeters. It features a grayscale tone of 256 tones and it also features 16.77 million display colors.
The typical brightness of this monitor is 350 CD with a blur reduction off. There is also feature in the menu where you can turn this feature ON or OFF. Now the contrast ratio is 1,000:1 and the typical response time is 4ms. A 178-degree viewing angle means that no matter from where you look at this monitor, regardless of where you are position at, it is going to be pretty much just like you are sitting in front of it. Ok, so those are the technical specs but what about the ergonomic specs.
Let’s have a look at the things that make the FORIS FS2735’s adjustability something to talk about. This monitor offers height, tilt, and pivot adjustment options, so no matter how you want your screen set in front of you, you will be able to set it up, so it is just perfect for you.
Now the FORIS FS2735, like all monitors, has an OSD(On Screen Display) menu. But the weird thing about this one is that all the controls are located on the back. To shuffle between the different ones you simply put your hand back in the monitor. Make all your adjustments from there, and you are ready to go. But what this display offers that no other monitor I have yet to see offers is this: you can adjust the menu through your phone. Additionally, there is an application that you can download and use, where you can be notified on the screen of someone calling you while you are in a game. So instead of your phone ringing and disturbing you or whatever, there will be an on-screen menu that comes on and says, “Hey, somebody is calling you.”
Now, this probably won’t work with the old landlines but if you have got a cell phone, be it Android or iOS, you can use this feature, and it is pretty cool. I like this feature, so if you have got your headphones on, you can’t hear anything going on anyways, you can just see it right there on your screen and know, “Hey, Bob called. Call Bob back.” And what is cool is they even have custom notifications including things like Pacman.
Another feature about this monitor is their G-Ignition Software app. Now this app can control everything inside of your Windows environment. So you can change every type of aspect that you want to do, for example, color, brightness, etc. It is all there inside of the Ignition app. And just like the popup app, you can download this app for your phone whether it be for the Android or the iOS environment. And not only can you control these things from your phone, but you can also actually import other people’s settings like the top gamers around the world and use them on your system.
Another cool thing about the FORIS FS2735, depending on how you look at it, is it has built-in speakers. There are two built-in 1-watt speakers who have stereo sound built into the monitor. Now if you don’t have any speakers or don’t want any speakers in your desktop this can be a pretty cool feature. I know there are some people out there who have a killer surround sound. But if you want something that’s going to offer no clutter, no mess these are nice.
Now as we take a look at the back of the FORIS, this is where all the controls are located. You have your power; you have 2 HDMI, a single DisplayPort, and a single DVI port connection. And if you like the option of hooking up USB devices to your monitor the FS2735 also has two USB 3.0 ports located on the rear.
Eizo Foris FS2735 Review
Alright, so there you pretty much have it, the aesthetics- the white paper. But the big question of the day is how does it game? If you are a gamer, obviously you have heard of ‘Doom.’ And we got to play the latest Doom on the FS2735, and it looks beautiful. I truly believe that 2160 x 1440 is the sweet spot for playing games. You have a lot more space on the monitor, but if you want a lot of pixel pumping action, your video card can handle this resolution much easier than trying to pump 4K. And then after we were ‘Doomed’, we went and checked out ‘GTA 5.’
The gameplay showed us that the colors look brilliant. There is no tearing whatsoever. And for you AMD fans out there, one of the great features about this monitor is it features FreeSync Technology, which means that you can get a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hertz, which is awesome if you are a gamer because you want that perfect, flicker-free, non-tearing gaming environment. But one thing you need to take note of with Free-Sync Technology it only works through the DisplayPort. So if you have kind of a DVI connection, HDMI and you are going to yourself, “Why I can’t get my FreeSync to work!” Well, the reason is you are not using the right cable. Alright folks, so there you guys have it, the FORIS FS2735 from EIZO!
This is a monitor that has a whole lot of technology and a whole lot of features that are built inside of it. For you, AMD fans out there I know you guys like that FreeSync technology. It is something cool, and it makes your gaming experience just the absolute best, flicker free, no in-game screen tearing, none of that stuff just smooth awesome gameplay that doesn’t hurt your eyes at 144 Hertz. And for some reason, if you don’t know what this is, FreeSync is just like NVIDIA’s G-Sync. It is just, you know, one is free on the AMD side, and one is G-Sync and cost you few bucks.
Now, let’s cut to the chase and talk about the price of the awesomeness! The thing is that the FORIS FS2735 is very expensive! It cost is around $1,200. However, as I said earlier, this monitor has a lot of great features. And maybe that’s why the price is pretty high. But there is no other monitor out there that I have seen that has these same applications on it. Like, no other I have seen that has things where you can go on your phone. Do all your adjustments. Import gaming profiles for all your lights and all that stuff. Nobody else offers that and that popup that you get when you are playing games; you are on your headphones that tell you who is calling and stuff. That is pretty cool. And if you are a PacMan fan, well hey, I know you are old school anyways. That is for damn sure that if you are a HARDCORE gamer and a PacMan fan, than you can ‘chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp’ the FORIS FS2735 because of it’s one of a kind experience.
